This Blog is dedicated to telling the truth about ideas, individuals and institutions that–for good or bad–exercise significant influence or control over the people, economy or governance of my country, the United States of America, and often other nations as well.
Those who know the truth about these things rarely reveal it! Some, like public figures caught with their sticky hands in a cookie jar, blatantly deny the truth…despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Others, who know the truth, mute or dilute its telling in service of misguided notions of loyalty, decorum or political correctness.
Courtesy and civility are important values in the context of normal social interaction, and loyalty is something that friends, teammates, co-workers, employers (including government agencies) and nations highly regard. But, with the world in crisis, truth about issues that affect our lives will serve us better than gentile proprieties or misplaced loyalties, and substance will serve us better than “good form.”
I welcome readers’ thoughtful and responsible comments about my postings and other reader comments. It is my hope to foster constructive discussions about the issues addressed here, or other topics that you would like covered. I encourage critical responses from readers who disagree with my factual statements, analysis, reasoning, or anything else. However, I reserve the right to block comments that demonstrate prejudice, threaten illegal conduct, or display content that–in my judgment–is inappropriate for public viewing.
